Guidelines for ii panam short communications

II Pan American Congress of Physiological Sciences invite to all the authors whose abstract was approved to publish it as a SHORT COMMUNICATIONS. The text is similar than an original paper but the extension is limited to 10 000 characters and it could include two table and two figures maximum and 10 references. This short communications will be publishing during 2019 in a devoted number of Revista Cubana de Investigaciones Biomédicas.  You have to register as author   before to send the paper at: www.revibiomedica.sld.cu

This journal is indexed at SciELO, Scopus and SciELO Citation Index by WoS among other database. This short communication should be divided in Title with authors, institutions and corresponding author, Abstract (250 words), Key words (6), Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and References.

Short communications are concise articles that are no longer than 10 000 words (7-8 pages) in Arial 12 simple space. Short communications do not cover in detail background information about the problems treated or the applications, rather they provide key pointers to the reader. The work reported needs to be technically sound, innovative and significantly unique, advancing the state of the art. Our intent is to make sure that your poster presentation in the II Pan American Congress of Physiological Sciences will be supported with a paper in order to get disseminated as fast as possible. Authors must include a statement about the word count in their submission. They contain only essential references, and minimal tables and figures, placing full attention on empirical methods, results and data analysis, and the implications of those results. Reports focus on issues of methodology and observation. As such, they play an efficient and integral role in progressing the field of physiology from a social scientific perspective.
