This is a report of journalist Jose A. de la Osa published in Granma journal, as a result of his interview to Dr. Sergio Machín, Head of the Pediatric Department of the Institute of Hematology and Immunology, reference center for the National Program of Comprehensive Care to sickle cell disease patients.

Up to this moment it is expected that around 40 countries of the 5 continents be represented in HEMATOLOGY´2013.

In oral presentations to take place in the 5 rooms that will be in session simultaneously, 111 will be dictated by prestigious foreign specialists;  other profesionals from different countries will present papers in poster.

In HEMATOLOGY´2013, we expect oral presentations in the five rooms that will session simultaneously during the days of the congress, of about 269 talks in the different topics of the event, 111 of them presented by prestigious experts from 31 countries.
