On behalf of the Cuban Society of Psychiatry, we would like to invite you to attend the 8th Cuban Congress of Psychiatry and the 6th Pan-American Congress of Child and Adolescent Mental Health, to be held at the International Convention Center in Havana, Cuba, from October 19th to 23rd, 2015.
The 21st Century offers new challenges in the field of psychiatry. Many changes are occurring in health care systems and in research, and our specialties have much to do during these times of changing situations, reorganization and adjustments as we strive for our common goals in the work for peoples’ well-being and human improvement.
We have made great efforts to develop a broad, diverse, and high-level scientific program and we are counting on your participation during the sessions dedicated to the various topics proposed.  In particular, we are excited about the undeniably valuable scientific and experiential contributions that you, our colleagues from other parts of the world, have to share.  We hope that, together, we will come away with enriched vision, having engaged in true interchange and based on our ever-evolving and diverse approaches and perspectives.
Also participating in the event will be many younger colleagues who are still in training or recently graduated, and they will have a special “place” and space for reflection, scientific exchange and professional commitment as representatives of the future of mental health practice and science which is gaining in maturity and experience.
Please put this date in your calendars and join us in Havana in October 2015 to be part of this exceptional encounter and this opportunity to further develop the psychiatry of today and the future.
