I Symposium of Cardiovascular Paradoxes

Dear Colleagues,

Hypertension, smoking, obesity, and dyslipidemia are risk factors for cardiovascular disease, so it is paradoxical that several studies have linked these same factors with better clinical outcome for patients in settings such as heart failure, coronary syndrome, and cardiac surgery. This phenomenon is known as reverse epidemiology and it poses a challenge for cardiovascular disease prevention.
We invite you to a deeper analysis of these paradoxes.
Sincerely yours,

MSc. Dr. Alberto Morales Salinas
Vice President of the Organizing Committee
