Training Mode: The training will consist of presentations, discussions, and videos.

Certification: An electronic certificate will be awarded to participants who attend at least 75% of the sessions.

Justification: Although integrated vector management is crucial, it often receives insufficient financial support at the global level, with other areas of research taking priority. Therefore, it is essential to prioritize the continuous training of biologists, entomologists, sociologists, epidemiologists, health administrators, vector program managers, and other stakeholders. The course will cover integrated vector management, including entomological and entomo-virological surveillance, basic vector control interventions, insecticide resistance and its mechanisms, innovative strategies in mosquito control, synanthropic rodent control, medical malacology, social determinants, social communication and vulnerability, and the concept of health and vectors. Furthermore, the aim is to facilitate a discussion regarding potential collaborations between Caricom nations and Cuba in the area of vector-borne illnesses.

Requirements: The course is designed for professionals in various fields, including biology, entomology, sociology, epidemiology, health administration, and vector program management, who are interested in integrated vector management.
