Abstracts

Deadline for submissions: 30/06/2020

All communications will be double-blind peer-reviewed by the International Scientific Committee. Each communication will be assessed by at least two assessors. The result of the evaluation will be issued by written communication and may result:

  • Accepted
  • Accepted with modifications
  • Rejected

The assessors will follow the following criteria:

  • The abstract must be submitted in Spanish, English, Portuguese or French.
  • Titles must clearly indicate the content of the work, the identification of the topic and collect the study variables (in the case of empirical research).
  • The abstract text should not contain citations, references, abbreviations or acronyms (except for highly socialized ones, for example, UNESCO).
  • It should be structured as follows: Brief introduction, methodological aspects, results and conclusions.
  • This structure and content may vary depending on the nature of the study. As a general rule it should consist of:
  • Brief introduction: The topic must be pertinent, novel and impactful due to the ground-breaking nature of the objectives, methodology or results found.
  • Methodological aspects: The objectives must be explicitly formulated and clearly defined, the method to achieve them should be adequate and is sufficiently and adequately described.
  • Results and conclusions: The results and conclusions should be clear and precise. They must relate to the objectives and the method used.

 

  • A general assessment of the paper will be carried out to check whether it meets the criteria of validity, relevance, novelty or originality and significance.
  • It will be verified that the wording of the paper is clear and that it transmits its purpose in appropriately.
  • Abstracts should not exceed 500 words.

Note: Cuban delegates should contact the chair of the Chapter of the Cuban Society of Health Psychology in their province because the Cuban delegation will be made up by representatives from each territory.
