Dear colleagues,

The Ministry of Public Health of Cuba is pleased to invite you all the International Convention «Cuba Salud 2018» to be held from April 23 to 27, at the Havana Convention Center, Cuba.

The Convention is sponsored by prestigious national and international organizations and it has among its purposes to debate on health in the world, so it will be a space for committed and oriented reflection and discussion of the most relevant issues linked to the health international agenda.

This important scientific forum will promote the exchange on the current and future challenges of public health globally. The response that countries must give to the needs the world is facing today will be highlighted on issues such as safety and quality of medical care, emerging and reemerging diseases, efficient and sustainable health systems, international cooperation in health, medical education, universal access and universal health coverage, among others.

Likewise, the current public policies, strategies, organization and economic bases that sustain the health activity will be discussed, as well as the assessment of the new processes for the renewal of primary care and its implications for health services.

The event will be a propitious moment to endorse the need to consider the improvement of the population health as a determinant of social development.

We are sure that Havana, with its hospitality, will help participants to have fruitful days of scientific exchange and leisure, which will help to strengthen relations of friendship and collaboration.

Within the framework of the convention, the fair of publishing houses will be held in the halls of Havana Convention Center, where medical publishers, companies or agencies will have an exceptional opportunity to exhibit the information products they own or represent within the field of medicine and health sciences.
